Round shim made by pressing.

This is a custom shim (spacer) for power transmission devices. It is made from phosphor bronze (C5191) material, punched out using press processing. The thickness precision requirement for this custom shim is ±0.01mm, and the customer has also requested a flatness of 0.02mm for both the front and back surfaces. In cases like these, it is difficult to guarantee precision with the material alone, so we perform double-sided grinding after press processing. The custom shims we receive requests for often require such high precision as they are precision press products. Additionally, we do not limit ourselves to just phosphor bronze; we also accommodate double-sided grinding for brass, yellow brass (C2680, C2801), and copper (C1100). [Production Example] Aluminum Large Round Shim

Round shim by wire cutting

This is a large round shim for power transmission devices. The material is A1100, and it has a total of 14 holes processed. This round shim was processed by sandwiching multiple stacked blank materials with thicker steel, reducing vibration during processing caused by the injection of cutting fluid. Additionally, all dimensions are within general tolerances, and it was processed with a single cut around the entire circumference. However, since having only one starting hole on the outer circumference can cause the workpiece to move during processing, we have created two or more starting holes for processing. In wire cutting of aluminum products, if the wire breaks during the process, a film may form on the cut surface, making it impossible to resume processing. Therefore, we take measures such as lowering processing conditions to prevent wire breakage. Round shim by wire cutting

This is a round shim for FA equipment. The material is SUS304, and high-precision wire cutting is performed on the holes and outer circumference where there are tolerances. This round shim was processed by sandwiching multiple stacked blanks with thicker steel material, reducing vibration during processing caused by cutting fluid injection. Additionally, since there were tolerances on both the holes and the outer circumference, the holes were processed in four stages to enhance finishing accuracy. Two starting holes were set on the outer circumference, and cutting was done in four stages by dividing it into two parts. After that, the excess was trimmed, and the part with a negative tolerance at the center was corrected with a file.
